Can I talk or meet with you before deciding to instruct you?

Top

Yes, you can call us to discuss if our area of expertise is compatible with your problem.

It may be that we do not need to meet initially for you to decide to instruct us and we can then take instructions from you over the telephone.

Do I have to pay for an initial meeting with you?

Top

If the meeting lasts for half an hour or less to enable you to explain your problem to us and for us to explain, if possible, the merits of your matter, let you know if we can help you and give you an estimate of the costs, then we make no charge.

If the meeting lasts longer than half an hour, usually because the matter is more involved, then we can charge for the time spent after the 1st 30 minutes. We will however at the outset tell you what our hourly charging rate is and how we calculate our charges.

How do I prepare for a meeting with you?

Top

It is helpful for us and for you if you prepare for the meeting. You should have with you any relevant paperwork, preferably in date order so that we can both make best use of the time in the initial meeting.

You will also need to bring with you evidence of identity which is your original passport, identity card or photo driving licence and a recent utility bill in your name (not a mobile telephone bill).
